What's a good build I can use to help deal with the recharge time for aura of the lich as a MM?

Well recharge times...

A 40/40 set with battle stand of wisdom almost always provides HSR
Air of superiority normally gives you an instant recharge every group
Glyph of Swiftness cuts it by 25%
Weapon of Quickening makes it 33%

Just bring AoTl for the +1 death magic, and bring something like bone fiends or horrors for fast recharging minions.

Well, with 13 and an "Of Enchanting" weapon, it can be kept up indefinitely, so what I would do is bring Aura of the lich, shambling horror, and animate bone minions with death nova. AotL brings you up to 14, which adds another minion to your cap, and with shambling/minions, you should have a good combination of mini-tanks and death nova fodder.

Put Dark Bond on your bar. Trust me. MMs that don't use Dark Bond are silly, or dumb, or both. You don't really even need points in blood magic, though a few won't hurt.

Next, try some of IronSheik's suggestions. I have found that AOTL plus one other minion skill is sufficient. Save spots on your bar for cool stuff like Mark of Pain. For this you are going to want some points in Curses. Oh, and if you haven't tried Mark of Pain on your mm before, you can thank me later.
